Puerto de Vueltas is a a town with a little harbor in the southwest of La Gomera. There used to stop ferries here, but not anymore. Now you find just a glass bottom boat which starts tours from here and some fisher boats anchoring in the harbor. We had a good anchorage in front of Playa de Argaga, a little south of the harbor entrance. Perfect hold over sand at about 7 m depth and no swell with northeasterly winds.
The towns has some nice restaurants, cafés and a supermarket. There were quite a few tourists in town. Shops offer handmade stuff. At the harbour an old fisherman feeds stingrays who come close by and swim on some steps in the shallow water. This is fantastic and all kids love to come close and touch the stingrays.
